Talented and Diligent Family Law Attorney Serving Indianapolis and Central Indiana

An Indiana native, Nathan Hacker has devoted his career to assisting Indianapolis individuals and families with legal issues involving criminal law and family law. He has over a decade of experience under his belt with litigating complex issues in court. Nathan first became an attorney because he was passionate about protecting clients’ interests. Over the years, his skills have developed, his experience has grown, and his areas of practice have multiplied, but his focus on and dedication to his clients has remained the same.

Nathan believes in a client-centered approach to representation which places his clients at the forefront of every decision he makes and every step he takes during litigation. Representation is tailored to a client’s individual needs and goals. He gets to know each and every client personally, developing a close relationship with everyone, including their families. Because Nathan cares deeply for his clients and the outcomes of their cases, he pours his heart and soul into representation in order to pursue their goals.

Nathan Hacker grew up in Indiana and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. While at Purdue, he was a star soccer player for the Boilermakers from 1996 to 2000. In addition, he was awarded first place in the Cargill Business Consulting Challenge in 1998 and was an active member of the Sigma Tau Delta Honors Fraternity. He graduated in May of 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature, minors in Political Science, Spanish, and Organizational Leadership and Supervision.

After graduating from Purdue, he moved to Huntington, Indiana to teach Pre-Calculus and College Prep Algebra while coaching the men’s varsity soccer team. Working with children and families inspired a passion to help others, and he began to explore a new-found interest in the law at the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 2001. While in law school, Nathan was awarded the Norman Leftstein Award for completing over 200 hours of pro bono legal work.

After being admitted to practice law in Indiana, Nathan Hacker started as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office in Fort Wayne, Indiana in October of 2005. While there, he prosecuted drunk driving, juvenile, and child support cases. He also worked closely with investigating non-custodial parent payment histories for child support. Focusing heavily on criminal law and family law issues, Nathan was able to obtain a first-hand look at how the prosecution evaluates evidence and plea offers.

In October of 2006, Nathan began with the Marion County Public Defender’s Agency in Indianapolis. For the next five years, he represented indigent clients in jury trials, including rape, burglary, attempted murder, and dealing in a controlled substance. He assisted clients with mental health disorders and negotiated plea agreements. During this time, he also worked as a solo practitioner on a variety of family law cases and contract disputes.

In September of 2011, Nathan Hacker worked as a Litigation Attorney with Cordell & Cordell P.C. in Indianapolis, conducting all phases of litigation, discovery, mediation, and settlement negotiations for statewide family law issues. Nathan recently began as an Associate Attorney with Eskew Law, LLC, where he focuses on a variety of matters.
