Born and raised in Indianapolis, Yasmin has a passion for serving the Indiana community. As a proud child of immigrant parents, she is passionate about helping close the gap in equal and fair representation for non-English speaking individuals. Yasmin is fluent in both Spanish and English. She utilizes her own life experiences to bring unique focus, empathy, and compassion to her practice. Yasmin has always felt called to practice family law and does so with skill and compassion.
A graduate of Warren Central High School, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Minor in Criminal Justice from Indiana University, studying at both Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses.
Prior to starting her law degree Yasmin worked for a civil law firm. Yasmin attended Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis and graduated in May of 2021. During law school, Yasmin participated in the Honorable Robert H. Staton Moot Court competition and was named to the Order of the barristers. Additionally, Yasmin received the Mary H. Mitchell Outstanding Service Award for her pro bono contributions. Yasmin was involved with the Child Advocacy Legal Clinic, where she volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and the Guardian ad Litem (GAL). She is a proud member of the IU McKinney Women’s Caucus and served as a student ambassador.
Outside of the firm, Yasmin loves to be with her dogs and plants! In addition, she dreams of visiting each of America’s National Parks.
